Updates and Current Work

- Finlay Park Concert featuring works by Duke Ellington, Philip Glass with world premiers by James Orlick, Arlington Akers, and Curtis Boyd. (April 2, 2011 at 5:00 p.m.)

- Teleconference with Allan Kozinn, music critic for The New York Times with Prof. James Orlick, moderator  

-Solo and Chamber work tours

- Ballet Commission with the Confucius Institute. 2009-2010.
 
- The Edgar Allan Poe Project, Celebrating 200th Years. (Composed Music to a series of Poe's Poetry as well as a production of "The Raven".
 
-Orchestrated, conducted, and organized music concerts for dignitaries such as the President of Zanzibar, Amani Abeid Karume, Ombeni Sefue, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania, and the singer James Brown Estate.
 
- Completing "Tomorrow, I am John" Opera. Knoxsville, TN. Commission.
 
- Lectures at The Language Summer Camp, S.C.
 
- Lectures at the Women's and Children Health Symposium. Topic: Music Therapy.
 
-Performances with the Long Bay Symphony Orchestra.
 
-Solo Tour, Marimba Concertos, Multi-Percussion Works, Snare Drum Solos, and World Percussion.  
 
-Juilliard School Commission. Completed and Premiered Work. "Reverie" with electronics by James Orlick.    Juilliard School of Music.
 
- Conducting Research in Higher Education: Music.
 
-Reviewed the upcoming new edition of the textbook, Music: An Appreciation published by McGraw Hill.
 
-Commission NASA Hubble Telescope Exhibition. Composed an Electronic Score for a Planetarium Show and Tunnel Music for the Exhibition. This is on tour for about 2 years and still going.
